This week’s episode of Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots was drama-filled! Three words can summarize this episode: sex, lies, and manipulation! Things are really getting twisted between the characters and the tension is sure to build until everything come to a head very soon! Who will come out unscathed – the haves or the have nots?
You better see what happened last week first! The Haves and the Have Nots 2015 Recap: S3 E15 – Nine Lives.
Hanna Young is still in shock after walking in on Benny Young and Veronica Harrington. When Hanna comes back, David Harrington is on the phone talking to Jeffrey Harrington about how Veronica is freezing all of his accounts again. Hanna goes back to Benny’s room to get David’s keys and fuss at him and Veronica for what she just witnessed. When she tells Veronica that her husband is also at the house, she just shrugs it off – pitiful. When Hanna gets back into the living room she tells David that Benny is tired and maybe they should talk with him some other time. While she’s trying to explain why Benny got arrested, Benny comes out and talks to him. David gets in his truck to leave and notices the evidence of the fornication – used condoms and handprints on the roof. But you know David – he never connects the dots!
When David left, Veronica finally comes out – this is when Hanna let loose! Hanna looked at Veronica, told her to “get her a** out” and tells Benny he isn’t following her. She told Benny he was wrong for sleeping with “that old a** woman” and asks him when the affair started. He then explained to her how the whole situation started, saying that “she threw it out there (Benny, don’t tell your mama that! So awkward!).” Then she tells Veronica that she better tell David about the affair or she will. Veronica tells her that she doesn’t do too well with threats and that Hanna’s life is too small to start a mess. When she threatened to dig up some dirt, whether true or not, on Hanna and tell Benny about it, Hanna let her know that it doesn’t matter how many times Veronica throws it in a circle for Benny(yes, I just said that), he’s always gonna stand by his mama!
Back at the hotel, Jeffrey goes to Candice Young’s room with the pregnancy test for Melissa. Candice, who just received the call that her houses are ready for her to move in, asked Jeffrey to move in with her. Finally Melissa arrives and takes the test – turns out she really is pregnant, and I guess he is the father!
Let’s pause here: somebody clear this up for me – I thought a few episodes ago Melissa said that it was someone else’s baby, but she did it to make it look like the baby was Jeffrey’s? Did I mess that up?
Anyway, Jeffrey tells Melissa that she needs to get rid of the baby and she snaps, telling him that she’s gonna take him for everything he has if his mama doesn’t do right. Then she calls Candice a “b**ch” and stormed out, impressing Candice with her new, colorful vocabulary. Not long after Melissa leaves, Benny shows up. Candice gives Benny 10 grand and takes him for a ride, telling him that she has a surprise for him. She takes him to the storage place that was up for sale- she bought it for him using “Credit Union money.” Her bubble was busted when he told her she was lying. To prove it, he asked her to take him to her job.
Meanwhile, Maggie Day and David talk at the hotel bar. When David explained the situation about Veronica and Benny having the car, Maggie put the pieces together. Maggie tried to help poor David out by pointing out how weird it was, but David didn’t catch on. He gets an incriminating picture message from Candice, who makes him get Maggie to go over and show Candice and Benny around Candice’s “new office.” So in other words, Candice just blackmailed David.
Remember the ride Jim and Wyatt Cryer took on last week’s Haves and Have Nots episode? They went to the county jail! Wyatt tried to play brave, but his expressions showed that he was afraid. He was cool with the fingerprints and mugshot pictures(he smiled in them….smh), but when they tried to do that cavity search….the guards had to hold him down! When Jim gets back in the room with him, Wyatt tries to be big and bad and a smart alec again. So Jim brings in some scared guy named Norman. It turns out that Norman is the guy that took the blame for the hit-and-runs! At first I thought that Jim was going to make Wyatt stay and bunk with Norman, but Jim makes the two strip and exchange clothes. Then he and Norman leave the jail while Wyatt stays there to do the time for his crime!
