This week’s episode of OWN’s series, The Haves and the Have Nots was excellent. The reunion finally comes full circle, but not without some drama in the mix. Meanwhile, other characters are getting violated and exposed to a truth that’s been dying to come out since the middle of the season! What more could happen?!
Don’t you do it, don’t you do it! Get caught up on last week’s Haves and Have Nots episode first! The Haves and the Have Nots 2015 Recap: S3 E19 – Quincy Jr.
We return to Wyatt Cryer after his rape. The big, scary black man was trying to go for round two when one of the guards heard Wyatt’s cries for help. Apparently it was some sot of sabotage, because that guy wasn’t supposed to be in there. And they know for a fact that it’s going to be off with their heads when Jim Cryer finds out.
Then we get to the Young House. Hanna Young was calling Katheryn Cryer to let her know that she would need the day off, while Benny Young was showing the social worker through the house. The social worker told Hanna that she would allow her to be a foster parent to Little Quincy until Candice Young shows up. When asked if she was a fit mother, Hanna was as honest as possible and told the woman that Candice was a liar and a con artist.
Back at Celine Gonzales‘ house, she’s still in denial (*eye roll*). She and Carlos have another conversation about Jim not caring about them, but Celine just won’t catch on.
Back at the Cryer house, DA Jennifer Sallison meets the Cryers and Harringtons to talk about the case. When Jennifer confronted Veronica Harrington about the warrant and their house burning down, Veronica slick admitted the whole thing, saying that she did it to kill David Harrington who, along with Jim and Katheryn, gave her the craziest look. She simply responded by saying, “Stupid answer for a stupid question.” Tragic.
Anyway, they all bring on a stellar performance that Jennifer Sallison applauds; she said that she’s still on their case. Veronica just keeps talking reckless, so much to the point that Jennifer almost lunges at her and has to be held back by David. When Jennifer stormed off, the four discussed how to keep Wyatt quiet. Jim said, “Wyatt’s trip out to the country ought to do him good,” trying to cover stuff up, but Veronica put him on blast and said, “Jail will do that to you,” and claimed that David told her, which wasn’t true. When she and David left, she claimed that her legal connections had her in the know and that she was gonna handle him. When David got back to Jim, he warned him that he better get Wyatt out of there because “he had a bad feeling that Wyatt isn’t as safe as Jim thinks he is.” After a few moments of begging, Jim finally listened and went out to see about Wyatt.
Back at the hospital, Benny Young and Hanna were waiting to see Little Quincy. While they were there, Veronica calls Benny, saying she was headed to his house. Veronica tries to get him to arrange a time see her, but Benny is feeling himself and raises his voice at her, telling her that she needs to back off and he’s not her man. Veronica has a slight mental episode but bounces back, mainly cause she was in the mood to fornicate…
Candice finally gets to the hospital to see Little Quincy, and Oscar was right there with her. After a tearful reunion, Candice finds out that Hanna asked for custody. This was a different Candice than we’ve seen before – she genuinely looked hurt. This set off more tension between the two and they had a back and forth about who should have him. When asked about Candice’s income, Benny tried to interject, saying that she’s a lawyer at a law firm. She admitted that she’s taking the bar soon, which threw Benny off. Then Hanna gets on Oscar, who tries to be nice by saying how fond he is of Candice. Then Candice told the social worker that she didn’t want Hanna anywhere near Little Quincy until the ruling. This is a mess.
Later Veronica talks to the big, scary black guy – I knew she arranged it! Meanwhile, the private investigator is still hot on her trail and follows her to Benny’s tow yard to meet him. When she walks into the office, you know what happened….
Meanwhile Maggie Day sees David in his office. Finally, Maggie gets some guts and tells David to take a ride with her (the private investigator called her and told her about Veronica). While they’re leaving, Celine walks in and asks if he’s there. When David tells her to just let it go and go home, Celine tells him “it’s not over.” Oh, Lord…
When Benny and Veronica finish being nasty, she asks him for a tour of the place – she wants to see if that’s Benny’s car. While they’re in there, Maggie and David pull up to the fron tof the yard. When David looks out, he sees Veronica leaving! That’s when Maggie could have showed him all the evidence, but Maggie tells him to “talk to his wife.” David thinks she’s talking about the car, and Maggie doesn’t know anything about the car. That’s when things finally start to click for David….
And that’s the end! Next week on The Haves and the Have Nots: David grows a pair, Benny confronts Candice, and Veronica does some more damage! See you later!
