Catch up on The Haves and the Have Nots action from last week! The Haves and the Have Nots 2015 Recap: S3 E16 – The Cougar.

Remember last week when Candice Young arranged for Benny Young to go see her “office?” Well they made it to the building so he could get a tour! Candice played her part well too – pointing at people as they passed them in the building saying, “There’s so-and-so, she’s the such-and-such…” knowing she didn’t know who any of those folks were! Lol. While they were walking, they run into Maggie Day, who was forced to play along and act as Candice’s assistant. Although Candice was talking to her like a dog, Maggie slick told her that she better move it along – the real employees of the office were in a meeting that would be ending anytime soon! Finally they made it into Candice’s “office” and Benny finally believed her. While they’re in there talking, Maggie comes back, hinting to her that the real owner of the office is back. Candice plays it off by pushing past the both of them and leaving, Benny following behind.  Maggie was left to explain the situation to the actual lawyer.

While that’s going on,  Haves and Have Nots trouble is brewing in the Harrington and Cryer households. Katheryn Cryer calls Veronica Harrington to let her know that DA Jennifer Sallison wants to see them, Jim Cryer, and David Harrington. Katheryn takes this chance to ask Veronica again why she didn’t tell her that she had the car. Speaking of Veronica, she bought a new house to replace the one she burned up….big deal. But anyway, once Veronica gets off the phone with Katheryn she gets a phone call from someone by the name of Wilson. I’m assuming Wilson was one of her little minions because he called to tell her that the yard where she was keeping it auctioned the car off. This means that the car is out there somewhere, and nobody knows where it is. But I have a feeling it’s the car that Benny got from that girl.

Next we see Jim and Norman, the guy to took the fall for Wyatt Cryer in jail. I’m sure Norman thought that he and Jim were just gonna chill out and talk, but Jim had other plans – he sends in two of his goons to carry Norman away! Poor Norman just can’t catch a break, can he? When Jim gets home, Katheryn asks him about Wyatt. He tells her the plan and that he’ll go get him back out of jail after a week and everything will be fine. We’ll see about that…

As that’s happening, Wyatt is still sitting in jail. When his cellmate comes in, he’s looking like, “What happened to the other guy?” But then he just shrugs his shoulders, looks at Wyatt, and is basically like, “You’ll do,” and tries to rape him….Jim told him he was too pretty to be in jail! The guy was like, “Norman used to do it for me, so now you’re gonna do it too!” Eww! Luckily one of the guards comes up and tells the guy to get off of Wyatt, which saved his behind (pun fully intended ha). But when the guard left and the lights went out, the cellmate tried to do it again, so…Wyatt was just gonna have to fight his way through (I had a terrible joke to put there, but I’ll leave it alone)!

Back to Benny and Candice! They’re now back at the tow yard that Candice bought him when Veronica shows up. You know they were giving each other all kinds of attitude, but I’ll make this part short: now if you remember waay back in the season, Benny and his friend talked about a towing company being taken because of embezzlement and whatnot, right? Well obviously we know that Candice bought the yard for Benny. But what we learn this week is that Wilson, the guy who was working for Veronica? He’s the guy who owned the tow yard! So this same tow yard is the one that had the car all this time! But what we know now is that the car was auctioned off, given to Erica, and was later sold to Benny, who wrecked it when he went to beat up Quincy! And the crazy part about it is that Candice was in on it the whole time! Yes you heard me correctly – Candice set up the whole sale between Erica and Benny, intending the car to be for Hanna Young all along! She knew that Hanna wouldn’t accept the car from her, so she arranged the whole thing so it would look like it came from Benny. Good Lord!

Also, Benny stood up for Veronica when Candice was giving all her attitude, and then he stood up for Candice when Veronica was talking smack about her. That’s a big, crazy love triangle that is hilarious to watch!

Then we get to see Jim and David having drinks at the Cryer house. For once, they aren’t sitting around trying to plot another scheme; David was actually trying to comfort his friend, who was still grieving the loss of Amanda Cryer (we miss you, girl!).

Then all of a sudden it switches to Benny! First he calls War and asks him for some meth, giving his word that he’ll pay him for it later – huh? Then he goes to the jail paying off Quincy’s bail! Quincy comes out, they get in the car, and drive off. Things were pretty normal until Benny started going faster….and faster….and faster. So much to the point that Quincy got a bit scared. They struggle with the wheel and next thing we know, the car runs off the road and bursts into flames!
