This week’s episode of OWN’s series, The Haves and the Have Nots…..wow! Literally, there are no words to describe what happened! I’ll just put it to you this way: everybody’s tempters are getting out of control, the family reunion of the century has just occurred, and one character is getting beyond, beyond scared straight!
Wait! Stop! Don’t read any further until you’ve check out last week’s episode! The Haves and the Have Nots 2015 Recap: S3 E18 – Benny Does Battle.
This week on The Haves and the Have Nots, we start back off with the family reunion going on in the Young house. When Hanna Young went to hug Little Quincy, he flinched in pain – obviously they’ve been abusing that boy. Benny Young reassured his nephew that they were gonna take care of him – they still don’t know what all he did to Quincy last episode. While he was talking to him, Hanna went behind the little boy to check him. When she lifted his shirt…that baby’s back had all kinds of scratches and scars that were terribly infected!
Meanwhile, Candice Young and Oscar were still living it up in New York! They wound up having a serious talk about how, although she never stated that a man treating her good makes her feel uneasy, he knew that was what she meant. It really threw her off and she was almost offended that he rejected her sexual advances at first. Then he basically read her about how when she begins to feel emotions, she runs away. He read her so well that she started crying. It was kind of sad, but sweet at the same time. It was a totally different side of Candice.
Back at the hospital, Benny was trying to call Candice – but of course, she wasn’t answering. While in the waiting room, Hanna asked Benny about his hand and how he got Little Quincy. He tried to make up a story about the situation, but Benny fessed up when Hanna called him on his bluff. That’s when we saw a different side of Benny – he talked about killing and everything! He’s snapped!
When the doctor returned, she told Hanna and Benny that he could have almost died from his infections. She also introduced them to a social worker and some officers. They keep Hanna and Benny in the waiting room while they tried to talk to Little Quincy and ask him who did all this to him – unfortunately the little boy didn’t say who. He made sure they knew that it wasn’t Hanna and Benny though. While they’re in the waiting room, Quincy walks in!
Luckily he doesn’t see them and they are able to talk to the social worker. They tell her the whole story about Quincy having the baby and his sister and they believe them. She lets them see Little Quincy, but tells them that, since they aren’t his biological parents or legal guardians, he cannot be released to go home with them.
At the Cryer house, Katheryn Cryer was still reading through Amanda Cryer’s diary when Jim Cryer came in. Katheryn couldn’t do anything but cry after reading in the diary everything that Amanda went through – Candice was right all along. Then Katheryn didn’t want to stop at just punishing the professor – “I want that SOB hung.”
Then we see Jeffrey Harrington going to his apartment. When he tried to get in, he learned the locks were changed. Who’s living in the apartment now? Melissa! Melissa explained to Jeffrey that Veronica Harrington had all this things removed from the apartment, had Melissa go shopping for completely new furniture, and now they can live in the apartment together. Oh yeah, Veronica is also planning their wedding and has already put their engagement in the local paper! Melissa tries to tell Jeffrey that they have no choice but to go along with Veronica’s plans, but Jeffrey’s face said that he has other plans. Can’t wait to see this!
Then we see Wyatt Cryer – or Norman, I should say – getting a visit from his parents. Wyatt pleas with them to let him come home, but Jim and Katheryn stood their ground. They reminded him that he chose this path when he talked to the DA. Wyatt, completely broken at this point, begs his dad to get him out, but Jim and Katheryn leave him there. Poor Wyatt, he just broke down! When they got in the car, Katheryn and Jim had an argument about their decision, but Jim reassured him that he would get him in time for Jim’s campaign announcement in the morning. We later find out that they were headed to the college Amanda went to to see her professor. Both Jim and Katheryn roll up on the professor and confront him about him raping her. That’s when admitted to all of it and Jim kicked him into oblivion! They aren’t done with him though!
Back in New York, Oscar woke Candice up to rose petals on the bed and bouquets all over the room. Candice then did something unexpected – she thanked him for being such a gentleman the night before. Benny finally gets a hold of Candice and she arranges to get on the next thing smokin’ to the hospital!
Later, Wyatt is in his cell when a big, scary black man is brought in by the guard. Instead of beating him, he asks Wyatt how he did it. When Wyatt tells him it was an accident, the scary black man forces Wyatt to….show him what that mouff do…..if you catch my drift. Y’all pray for Wyatt!
