This week’s episode of OWN’s series The Haves and the Have Nots was spectacular! We’re getting closer and closer to the end, so you know Tyler Perry has to spill some of the tea! But what makes it so interesting is that the more he reveals, the more questions we have! This week we learn more about love affairs, one character is completely out and proud, and someone is singing ‘burn, baby burn!’

We catch Hanna Young and Benny Young the morning after their first night in the house. They make some small talk about the house and whatnot, then Hanna warns him that things that come easy can go just as easily. Then she brings up Veronica Harrington and warns him about her – he gets all defensive and tries to act like nothing is going on, but he forgot who he’s talking to – mama knows everything! Benny said he can’t help it – she keeps throwing it at him! Lawd Benny…Lol.
Hanna reminds him that she has the Holy Ghost, and this whole situation isn’t sitting right in her spirit. Benny gets mad and can’t believe she won’t believe in. But Hanna tells him that he better get it together or his “dream” is gonna come crashing down. Benny pouts, but he knows she’s right. Then he got even more annoyed when Hanna rode the bus instead of driving her car to the hospital to see the baby.
Meanwhile, Katheryn Cryer discovers that Wyatt Cryer is missing. She talks to Jim Cryer about it, and he reassures her that he didn’t run away to talk to the DA – jail let him learn that lesson. Then they get on Celine Gonzales and Veronica. She tries to find out how they’re going to handle them both and what Veronica did to make him attack her. Jim just says he will have it all handled. When he leaves, Katheryn calls Veronica and asks her over for tea so they can talk.
Back at the hotel, Jeffrey Harrington is bringing Wyatt breakfast. Wyatt asks Jeffrey if he slept with Landon, to which Jeffrey snaps – he asks Wyatt why he always brings it up and basically hints at him being curious again. Wyatt reminds him that he’s straight and calls him sick for being gay. Jeffrey basically tells him that he will either accept him being gay or he “can go to hell.” Wyatt then sat down and admitted to Jeffrey that he was raped in jail and it was all his dad’s fault. Right after he finished his story, Wyatt walked out the room.
Candice Young called Benny, but for some reason he wasn’t answering the phone. While she was cooking breakfast, Oscar came in, claiming he had to go – their New York trip got cut short cause of the stuff with her son, remember? Oscar reassured her that he had to run to Paris for four days, but he’d be back soon. Before he left, Candice expressed to him that she REALLY likes him and that he better not mess it up. But the weird thing was that they established that they can still see other people. Strange.
While Benny and Hanna were talking, Quincy went out for a drive – right into Hanna’s house! When he emerged, he screamed, “I got you Benny!” And walked away from the house while it exploded. That man is crazy!
Back at the campaign office, Maggie Day and Jim were preparing for the press conference to announce that he’s no longer running for governor. Maggie was regretful about everything that happened, but Jim was in a “don’t care” mode. Maggie tried to sympathize with him, but Jim just showed her how disgusting he is. She got mad and walked out. I don’t blame her – he said some rough stuff to her
Later on Benny, called the social worker and asked about Candice’s job. He begged her for information, but she wouldn’t tell him. He finally just gave up, and is now even more confused than before. Once the social worker gets off the phone, she turns around and has to reject Hanna’s pleas to see Little Quincy. She does tell him that the boy is progressing well.
Later, Benny goes to Candice’s “office” and discovers that, well, it isn’t her office.
Jim goes to Celine Gonalez’s house to talk to her. Celine told him that she did the show to show her sons that she isn’t a “doormat,” but Jim stated otherwise. He said that she just made herself look like a dumb concubine and that now no one will ever fall in love with her. He told her that she didn’t play her position properly. So basically, they were both having an affair. Celine left her husband, but obviously Jim never left Katheryn. Celine just apologized and begged him to sleep with her, but Jim rejected her and left.
Okay, so Celine represents all the dumb side-chicks out there, cause she ‘done lost her mind! She seriously thought Jim loved her! I feel sorry for her, but I can’t believe how dumb she’s being at the same time!
When Hanna finally gets to work, she catches Katheryn working out – I don’t know how I feel about how she and that instructor were looking at each other. Katheryn goes to freshen up for Veronica while Hanna went down to sit with her. So Hanna took her chance and confronted Veronica about Benny. Veronica tried to taunt her, but Hanna told her – she ain’t been saved all her life!
While Katheryn and Veronica were talking, Hanna got the call that her house was on fire. Katheryn offered to take her, but Veronica was like, “Well mine burned down and it was nice. Enjoy the ashes.” Good Lord…
While that was going on, Quincy walked into the hospital room to get Little Quincy. When the social worker told him that he couldn’t take him, Quincy choked her and tried to destroy her records. The social worker managed to run out and call for security. But of course Quincy left on out.
Maggie walked into David Harrington’s office and told him how terrible Jim was. Then Maggie had an idea – David needs to run for governor. I think she just has an Olivia Pope fantasy….Lol.
The episode ends with Hanna and Katheryn looking at Hanna’s destroyed house.
