Episode four of Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots was an emotional roller coaster! From Jim’s hiding place to the campaign headquarters, no place was safe in this episode of the OWN series! Our burning question is finally answered, but this news brings on more mysterious details that only offer up more questions left to be answered!

The Haves and the Have Nots episode starts with the action that we were left with last week! Hanna Young stumbles to Wyatt Cryer’s door and tells him about Amanda Cryer. She finally goes to Celine Gonzales and takes the phone from her, calling 911.
Back at the campaign headquarters, Maggie Day and Landon are trying to calm the crowd while everyone is still looking for Jim Cryer. Katheryn Cryer shows up, thinking that he was there. When she finds out he’s not there, she just shrugs it off and expects him to make an entrance at last minute. When David Harrington and Maggie leave, Katheryn tells Veronica Harrington about Jim’s strange disappearance and how she was actually beginning to worry a little bit about it.
Landon talks to one of the reporters, who so happens to be a gay rights advocate. The woman also happens to be personally invited by Landon. He encouraged her to ask Veronica about the issue, knowing that it will push her buttons. He does this confidently, although he assured Maggie that he would make sure that no uncomfortable questions would be asked. Landon, what are you up to???
Meanwhile, Jim is getting dressed and ready, waiting with his captor for the confirmation for the wire transfer. The Haves and the Have Nots’ most notorious character Candice Young finally lets him leave, sending him off with a bus pass – his transportation back to the campaign headquarters. Jim nervously walks through the hood to the bus stop and back to his normal life. Candice goes back to her hotel room and meets up with Benny Young, who scolds her for leaving the house like she did.
Jeffrey Harrington and Melissa catch up with the Harringtons at the campaign headquarters. When David tries to let Jeffrey stand next to Landon, Veronica makes sure to let him know that that wasn’t happening, while also taking jabs at everyone, from Landon, to Jeffrey, to Maggie, and even Jim.
The Harringtons finally get to the press conference! The reporter asks Veronica the gay rights question, and things get tense extremely quick! Although she kept pushing her hair back behind her ear, Landon played completely dumb and left her in an awkward and obviously uncomfortable position. However, Veronica managed to turn it around in her favor and discuss how people needed to look at the bigger picture and unite, regardless of race, gender, or anything else. After her impressive response, she looks back at a noticeably burned Landon. If looks could kill..!
After the press conference, David and Veronica fire Landon, but he’s not done yet! He had the audacity to kiss Jeffrey IN FRONT OF Melissa! Then he told her that Jeffrey was gay!
While everyone was in the office still trying to find Jim, David gets a call from Jim’s phone. Thinking it’s him, David immediately answers, only to find Wyatt on the line in a panic. David gives the phone to Katheryn, who doesn’t listen to what he’s saying. Instead she just fusses at him, thinking he’s done something. While Katheryn is on the phone with Wyatt, her phone rings – it’s Hanna. As Katheryn answers the phone, another reporter who came to do live coverage on the announcement learns of the news and announces that Jim Cryer was not able to attend his event because of the death of his daughter. Katheryn learns the news from Hanna at the same time over the phone and freezes in shock and terror.
Next week, the family gathers back at the Cryer residence to meet with the authorities and figure out what is really going on. Also, Jim resurfaces and Candice rears her evil little head once more.
