It’s finally back! Tyler Perry’s series The Haves and the Haves Nots has returned to finish out season 3! We finally get to see what became of the Harringtons after the fire and catch up with everyone before one of the beloved cast members are put to rest! What more can happen?!
Catch back up with the last episode before the break! The Haves and the Have Nots 2015 Recap: S3 E12 – Enough is Enough.
Let’s start back where the action ended – Veronica Harrington’s arson and attempt at murder! At this point, the entire house is engulfed in flames, but guess what – David Harrington wakes up! I wanted to rejoice,he kind of killed my vibe running out the house, concerned about his devilish wife. Where does he find her? Sitting outside smoking, talking about how she was outside “just getting some air.” – tragic. David told her they needed to call for help; Veronica told him that she was hoping she’d have to call the morgue – Dang, Lol. Welp, she told him not to come home! And the saddest part about it was that before the conversation was even over, David knew that she was trying to kill him.
Then we get to visit the Cryers, who are planning and preparing for Amanda Cryer’s funeral – Maggie Day was also in attendance, attempting to be The Have and the Have Nots’ version of Olivia Pope and trying to figure out how to deal with the media. While Jim Cryer, Katheryn Cryer, and Maggie are busy working on the arrangements, Wyatt Cryer comes down. As soon as Wyatt sees Maggie he says, “Nice rack. Are they yours?” – mind you, this is the first time they have ever met. I assume he thinks that Maggie is another one of Jim’s “friends,” and that’s why he’s acting as dumb as always. Jim tells him to go to his room, which he does, but not without telling Maggie, “You can work on my campaign anytime.” Wyatt – boy, stop!
Next up was Hanna and Candice Young. Candice was still in the room with Oscar when Hanna interrupts, fussing about what was going on in the room and talking about Quincy and the baby, who apparently Candice didn’t even know was still alive until now – whaaa?! Hanna leaves, and Candice goes back in the room in tears. Instead of leaving like she wanted him to, Oscar, who told Hanna that he was just a friend when she confronted him, stays and comforts her, allowing her to vent about the situation and tells her that he cares. I wasn’t sure of Oscar at first, but he earned some brownie points with that move. Kudos to you, son!
After all that, Benny Young is just getting home from getting his night made by Veronica(SMH). When he gets home, Hanna asks what happened and starts fussing because of his retaliation. Then Hanna sees the truck outside and fusses even more, informing him that that wasn’t even Veronica’s car – it’s David’s! She really thought he was gonna be dead!
Back at the Harrington household, Maggie shows up, so you know Veronica took that and ran with it. When Jim shows up, David pulls him aside and explains to him that Veronica did all this because Jeffrey Harrington went to the DA. However, if you remember from the previous episode, it was actually Wyatt who went, and Jim shares this information with David. Jim, David, and Veronica later discuss this, which now makes Wyatt the target of Lady V’s wrath. The secret about the car finally comes out, and Katheryn is a bit shocked, because she thought that Veronica, who was supposed to be her friend, would have told her. Things are really getting messy now….
Then the DA, Jennifer Sallison, shows up. As always, Jim gets all hostile, asking why she’s here, to which she explains that she believes there’s something fishy going on with this arson – remember before the season’s break that she authorized a search warrant for the Harrington household – she makes sure to say it so that Veronica can hear it and catch on too.
Finally we get to see Jeffrey! Jeffrey is chilling in bed with Landon – apparently, something happened, not like that’s a surprise. Landon is talking to Jeffrey about how distant he seems and how he thinks Jeffrey is still in love with Wyatt, when there’s a knock on the door – they spoke him up! Instead of talking trash about Landon and Jeffrey, Wyatt asks Jeffrey if he can stay the night. Jeffrey lets him, telling him that Landon was just leaving. Landon was like, “Aw heck naw!’ and says, “No I wasn’t.” …..awkward! Lol. Finally frustrated by what’s happening, Landon leaves and tells Jeffrey to lose his number. Poor baby got his heart broken!
Once Jeffrey finds out about the fire, he shows up to the house. Jeffrey asks dad about what happened, and David tells Jeffrey that they still aren’t sure, like he doesn’t know that his wife just tried to fry him like some chicken! Jeffrey just straight up asks him, “Did she do this?” They come to the understanding that Veronica tried it and she’s a nutcase. We all agree.
Then it is the day of Amanda’s funeral. Before heading to the funeral, Candice shows up to Hanna’s house, wanting to know more about what happened with Quincy and her son. Hanna, who is also going to the funeral, tells her, but also lets her know that she better not show up to that funeral.
After that, Veronica and Katheryn are talking. While they’re talking, Benny calls Veronica in an attempt to give the car back. However, Veronica seduces him into keeping it and them meeting up for another “adventure.” And Benny, like an idiot, fell for it! Her seductive personality changed when David came in, trying to tell her again that he didn’t sleep with Maggie. Finally David said their marriage is on the verge of being completely done, basically.
While Jim and Wyatt are exchanging words, Celine Gonzales pops up – ugh! Celine fusses at Jim for firing her, talking about some “arrangement” they had. When Wyatt shows up, he starts talking crazy to Celine and calling her names, causing Celine to be offended and tell Jim to get Wyatt to stop talking to her that way – I think she is his mom, they’re just trying to keep it under wraps. Hmm….
Wyatt says something about how Jim didn’t look out for Amanda, and that made Jim snap! He grabbed Wyatt and starting going in on him! Hanna and Katheryn come down trying to stop the fight, when Wyatt asks Hanna about Benny, implying the hit-and-run. Then Veronica comes down…..
And that’s the end of this episode of The Haves and the Have Nots!
Okay, so let’s talk:
What does Celine have on Jim?! I really think Wyatt is her son, but maybe that’s just me. Also, I still am trying to figure Oscar out. He already pays Candice to sleep with him, yet he’s okay with just holding her all night? And what about Erica? Did Benny forget about her? He knows he doesn’t need to be fooling with Veronica! Speaking of Veronica, what is she going to do to Wyatt?!
Let me know what you guys thought about the episode! Do you agree with me about Celine? Do you trust Oscar? What are your predictions? See you next week!
